It is a well-known fact for whoever knows me that I am an avid reader, but also that I do not discriminate my readings, be it in the genre or in the format. As much as I can read a physical biography, I can also read several paranormal romances in ebook, or a couple of cozies in the same format, and the list goes on.
Whoever knows me also knows that I’m both a knitter and a crocheter, but those make reading an actual physical or electronic book difficult, which is why, when I knit or crochet, I always listen to audiobooks, for which I have my favourite narrators, and even narrators that I cannot stand listening to and, consequently, avoid.
Where am I going with this? To my new addiction. When I reviewed The Sandman, I did mention that I love a full cast and music and sounds in my audiobooks. The good news? There is a site which sells only audiobooks done with a full cast, music, and sound effects: Graphic Audio.
And I am completely addicted to it, despite the price (because I’m Canadian and everything is in USD)!
So why not get the books on Audible, since I am subscribed? Well, for one thing, new releases come out on Audible two months after being released on Graphic Audio, and second, I am of the impatient sort, so I pre-order my releases, price be damned.
Some favourite series involved…
The first time I came in contact with Graphic Audio was with Shannon Mayer’s Rylee Adamson series, of which I had gotten and started the first book via Audible, but which I hadn’t had time to finish. (Sorry, Shannon! It’s honestly in the plans for the summer because I love Rylee!)
Since then, my favourite K.F. Breene series, Demon Days, Vampire Nights (aka DDVN World) has started being produced and released on Graphic Audio, much to my delight (and repeated listens). Mind you, I have listened to the conventional audios of the whole series (narrated by the fabulous Nicole Poole) a few times before it started making the plunge into Graphic, but there is something about a full cast for a favourite series that has a whole other appeal. (Note: A little bird told me that they have bought many of the Queen’s books to produce them, including the rest of the 11 DDVN World series! Excited, you say? Oh, yes!) For the curious, the second book of the Penny trilogy, Natural Mage, came out this week, and the third one, sixth book of the series, Natural Dual-Mage, is up for pre-order already, although no release date has been set for this one yet.
… and new series discovered!
In between listens and releases of K.F. Breene’s books, I also decided to give a try to some Ilona Andrews books, since I have heard a whole lot of good about them (in case you don’t know, this is the pen name of a married couple co-authoring some great paranormal books), so that’s how I started listening to their Innkeeper Chronicles and got so hooked that I binge-listened to them during my return transit, when knitting or crocheting, and when eating (I always read or listen to books when I do), until I finished this amazing series. Although I hope that they will, soon, produce the last book of the series that has been released.
Then I pre-ordered the first of the Kate Daniels series and loved it so much that I did the same with the second, and pre-ordered the third one today.
In other words, I basically don’t stop listening and I am seriously, completely, and shamelessly addicted to Graphic Audio books!

Love it! Isn’t it weird that when I listen to a famous person do an audio book I start to think about what their movies were and then my mind wanders and the next thing I know, I’m rewinding.. hahhahahahahhah

😂😂😂 Not weird. Were I watching as many movies as you, I’d likely do the same, unless, like some who have narrated in The Sandman, I don’t recognise their voice at all (eyeing you, Paterson Joseph 😂😂).
