WWW – Wednesday, 21 October, 2020

Many of the book bloggers I follow are doing this fun thing every Wednesday, an idea taken back by Taking On a World of Words, which I really like. It is a simple concept, and one that will/should change every week as far as the content is concerned.

What are those WWW?

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

My current reads

Cue sniffing. I’m at Terminal Objective, the last David Rivers book! I seriously loved that series so much! As soon as I finish it, you can expect a review of the complete series, which are Jason Kasper’s first books. And yes, I’m more than in time for the release of the new series, in January!

Since I’m now done with the Warlocks MacGregor audio books, I was at a loss as to what to listen to next. And, well, I had been listening to the last Outlander book, Written in my Own Heart’s Blood, for a year, on and too often off. So it’s about time that I finish it! After all, it’s such a good book and a great series! And Davina Porter is one of the best narrators, so it’s an extra treat.

Books I recently finished

It really didn’t take me long to read The Suicide Cartel, because it was a short book compared to the others. Plus, it was absolutely wall to wall action. Impossible to put down, which is also why I started the last book a little earlier than planned.

In audio, I finished with Michelle M. Pillow’s Warlocks MacGregor, at least until the seventh book comes out in audio (I read it upon its release in ebook, back in January), but I am mentioning the fourth book, Cauldrons & Confessions, because it features my favourite of the MacGregor siblings, Malina.

What am I reading next?

Fact: because Spellcasting With a Chance of Spirits came out… today (!!!), my reading of the last David Rivers will be suspended for a couple of days. After all, we have been waiting for the third of Mandy M. Roth’s Grimm Cove book for some time (long story, which I will tell in my review), and I just can’t wait to get my eyes into Marcy’s story!

In audio, if I will definitely continue with the books I have in my library, but haven’t yet listened to, or haven’t finished, I am not 100% sure which book will be next. Right now, I think that I might opt for more Outlander stories, this time with Seven Stones to Stand Or Fall, a collection of novellas, which I have read, but really want to listen to.
