Am I really back? Not just now, at least not full time, but after months of not having posted anything, I think that an explanation is de rigueur. In fact, the reason behind my long absence is easy to explain: I am swamped. And I mean swamped.
Yes, I do disconnect from everything work-related once I’m back home from school. However, even when I’m disconnecting, I’m doing so about everywhere I can, which means that I play my little games on the iPad, I knit or crochet, I play and talk with Mambo (he’s my pet, after all), I do house chores, I relax, and I sleep. A lot. Because for this teacher (and for most of my colleagues of the profession), resting is because I’m exhausted, very much so.
Do I read? A lo-hot! Be it on my Kindle, in a paper book (yes, I do have some of those too), with an Audiobook, I am already halfway through my Goodreads challenge at 50 books/100. (I might up the number at some point.)
What I don’t find time to do is to write reviews. I do write them on Goodreads, Amazon, vendors, etc. But writing here is a quite a bit longer and implies researching images and making my artworks for the posts. So blogging would mean some time spent not doing something else, like reading. Or knitting (I am currently making a t-shirt, the first I’ve ever made, which calms my anxious mind).
Where am I going with this? To the fact that I will take time that I don’t really have over the weekend to write a review that I simply cannot only leave on Amazon and Goodreads, because there is oh, so much to say about that book! So stay tuned for my review of a personal favourite’s latest.
I also want to thank you all for not having deserted this site. It means a lot.
Looking forward to summer vacay when you hopefully will have a bit of time to review again!!!

Thanks for the update, Caro! I’m so happy you’re still reading. With so many distractions out there, reading can easily be the first thing out the window when one is swamped. Take care and I happily remain your subscriber 🙂

Thank you so much, Kyrie! To tell the truth, if I stopped reading when I’m hammering its importance to my class, I would not like myself because that would be seriously hypocritical. Plus, it’s become a huge fun every Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a day off) to know where Madame Caroline is at in her reading challenge. haha
