WWW – Wednesday, 12 August, 2020

Many of the book bloggers I follow are doing this fun thing every Wednesday, an idea taken back by Taking On a World of Words, which I really like. It is a simple concept, and one that will/should change every week as far as the content is concerned.

What are those WWW?

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

My current reads

While waiting for K.F. Breene’s latest book to arrive (again at 3 AM, thanks to Amazon’s stupidity), I decided to reread Jude Deveraux’s Met Her Match, which I hadn’t read since it was published, last year. So it was a long overdue reread and to be frank, it is just as enjoyable (if not more) the second time around!

And now that I’m able to crochet without pain again, I’ve gotten back to listening to books and rather than finally finishing the last (to date) Outlander book, I decided to listen to The Sandman, which relies on an impressive cast. I don’t regret it one bit, because the cast really is super impressive and talented. If all audio books were like that, with different actors for each character, music, and special effect sounds, it would be fantastically fabulous! It makes me see the action even more and gosh, do I love it (except for the scary scenes, but that’s my overactive imagination speaking).

A book I recently finished

It took me until almost 4 this morning to finish it, but gosh, it was worth it! The newest K.F. Breene, Magical Midlife Dating, was absolutely fantastic! I will not extend myself overmuch on it here, as my review will be posted later today.

What am I reading next?

Because my brain was in shambles, I haven’t yet finished the third David Rivers book, Dark Redemption. In fact, I’m only a quarter through, and it’s not because I don’t like it, because it’s a great series. So this is what’s on the table for me over the next few days.
