WWW – Wednesday, 14 October, 2020

Many of the book bloggers I follow are doing this fun thing every Wednesday, an idea taken back by Taking On a World of Words, which I really like. It is a simple concept, and one that will/should change every week as far as the content is concerned.

What are those WWW?

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

My current reads

I’m still getting on with finishing the David Rivers series before Jason Kasper’s new series, which will be a new series of thrillers with Rivers as main protagonist, comes out next January. And to be frank, despite my reading it a little slower because my brain is currently mushed (lack of sleep and all), Vengence Calling has gotten me completely hooked! Action packed as I like them!

I might not be crocheting because of that stupid tendinitis, but I still do a little picture scratching in the evenings to empty my brain before sleep. And that is without counting that I like to listen to audio books on my commute back from work. So I am continuing my “backwards” listening of Michelle M. Pillow’s Warlocks MacGregor series. I am now at the third book, Stirring Up Trouble, a novella about Fergus MacGregor. I have read the actual books last year, so this refreshing of the details with Michael Ferraiuolo’s fantastic narration is a total treat. It makes one of my favourite series even better!

A book I recently finished

Many new releases later, I finally finished Jason Kasper’s Dark Redemption, the third of the David Rivers books. And gosh, was it good!

In audio, I caught up with one that I had started a while ago: the last of the Charley Davidson series, by Darynda Jones. It was my first time listening to Lorelei King’s narration, and it will definitely not be the last. She is absolutely awesome!

What am I reading next?

My next read is for K.F. Breene’s book club, with one of her “old” books, Secret of McKinley Mansion, which is a perfect book for Halloween, or so I’ve been told.

In audio, I will continue with those sexy Scottish warlocks, this time with my favourite of the tribe, Malina, the only girl and my spirit animal.
