WWW – Wednesday, 9 September, 2020

Many of the book bloggers I follow are doing this fun thing every Wednesday, an idea taken back by Taking On a World of Words, which I really like. It is a simple concept, and one that will/should change every week as far as the content is concerned.

What are those WWW?

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

My current reads

I might have disappeared a little in the last week or so (I do work a lot, which is only normal), but I am still reading, even though not as much as I did before I started working again. This said, over the long weekend, I got completely lost in Elizabeth Hunter’s complete Elemental Mysteries. And I mean lost. As in “losing track of time and space” lost. I am halfway through the omnibus, so far, and it is seriously all sorts of awesome!

I want to continue continue to listen to Michelle M. Pillow’s Kisses & Curses, but right now, it is impossible because my shoulders are scrapped again and I can’t crochet. However, I did listen to a couple of chapters on the bus the other day. I will only warn you never to listen to those books on the public transit. I might have laughed a little too hard.

A book I recently finished

Just before entering Elizabeth Hunter’s elemental world, I finished the not last of Robyn Peterman’s Magic & Mayhem series, Switching Witches. Let’s just say that I hate Zelda’s mum even more now that I have read this one. Poor Zach!

What am I reading next?

Perk of being on an author’s review team is that in order to have my review done by release day, I get to read it a little ahead of time. Truth: the moment I receive my ARC for Your Broom or Mine?, I will be once more travelling to Assjacket, ready to laugh my head off. Although something tells me that I will have moments of intense emotion, especially if we learn more of Zach’s backstory (and the parts of it that we know from the previous book are heartbreaking enough).
